To travel is to dream...let's explore this amazing world together.
Girls Trip - Las Vegas Itinerary
So you’ve flipped the calendar over to the New Year and it’s January. You survived the holidays….now what? Do you have that post-holiday “let-down”? A Girls trip might be just the ticket you need to get you through the remaining winter months. How fun would it be to plan a little getaway and then be able to gaze at your calendar and count down the days until it’s time to hop on that plane? Here’s a little taste of what could be in store for you.
Day 1 – Depart from your city. Arrive in Las Vegas rested and excited to spend time away with your friends. Check into the Venetian Hotel. Unpack, freshen up and then explore the hotel (which by the way, feels like you are in Venice….In a Las Vegas kind of way).
Spend the rest of the day and evening gambling in one of the many hotel casinos, going out to dinner, and checking out the strip. The strip is beautiful at night and takes on a totally different persona after dark.
Day 2 – Wake up and have a fabulous breakfast at a restaurant of your choosing. If the weather is nice you might enjoy spending some time by the pool, having cocktails, swimming, and relaxing. You could also use this as a spa day and enjoy a much needed massage or facial. Go out to dinner and then take in one of the many shows that Vegas has to offer.
Day 3 – Today would be a great day for some shopping. Las Vegas has some of the best shopping around. You can check out the shops at the hotels on the strip or hit one of the malls. While you’re shopping at the hotels you’ll experience the unique flavor that each one has to offer. Many hotels are themed after popular cities or destinations and have their own built in attractions. A must for today would be to check out the spectacular fountains at the Bellagio hotel.
Day 4 – Use your time in the morning to return to any of the sights that you absolutely loved, grab a bite to eat, and then head home with memories from a fun-filled getaway with your friends knowing that you are ready to take on 2015.
Maui, Hawaii - Your Island Getaway
Get ready to experience the island breeze……where the living is easy. All you’ll need are a few pair of shorts, a swim suit, a sarong or two, flip flops, and a light wrap for evening and you are all set to enjoy the ambiance that is Maui.
Day 1 – Depart your city. Arrive in Maui and say “Aloha” to the lush scenery and the fragrant island smells as you head to your hotel to check in. You may choose to stay on Ka’anapali beach, a gorgeous stretch of beach located on the western shore of Maui, a couple miles north of the old whaling town of Lahaina. Enjoy a stroll on the beach and eat at one of Maui’s fabulous restaurants. Not sure which one to choose? Don't worry, I will share all my faves with you.
Day 2 – This would be a great day to explore the town of Lahaina and Whaler’s Village during the morning (while you’re in Lahaina be sure and stop at Ululani’s for their amazing and not to be missed shaved ice) and spend the afternoon lounging on the beach or by your pool. Finish the evening off with one of the many spectacular luaus that are available on the island.
Day 3 – Spend the day touring the road to Hana. This coastal road winds through a rainforest and you’ll see beautiful beaches, lava cliffs and waterfalls. As you return back to your hotel from the drive to Hana, stop and take a few minutes to watch the windsurfers at Hookipa Beach Park. Depending on what time you get back, enjoy a picnic dinner on the beach or a great restaurant. Don’t forget to have a fruity drink with an umbrella in it.
Day 4 – This would be a fun day to do some whale watching, either from the shore or take a whale watching tour. Peak times to see the whales are January through March. Eat dinner at Mama’s Fish House for some of the best fresh island fish.
Day 5 – Take a snorkeling cruise to Molokini. This crescent shaped top of an extinct volcano is a bird and marine sanctuary and is one of the top spots to snorkel in Hawaii. In addition to good snorkeling, taking the boat ride out to the crater offers great views of Maui.
Day 6 – Get up super early and go to the top of Haleakala. Haleakala is an inactive volcano and a fabulous place to watch the sunrise. Make a day of it!
Day 7 – Today would be a good day to see “where the wind takes you” and just wing it. You might want to relax at your resort, hit the spa, take a jog on the beach, or whatever else strikes your fancy.
Day 8 – Spend your last morning in paradise on the beach, poking around town or doing some last minute gift-buying. Say “Mahalo” (thank you) and depart for the mainland having experienced the beautiful island spirit and culture of Maui.
Bite of Italy Tour – Let’s get cooking!
Do you dream of visiting Italy? The Bite of Italy was created when we realized the overwhelming demand for cooking-based tours, classes, and the overall love Americans have for Italian cuisine. We travel to Italy with a small group (usually about 10-18) and share with them our favorite locations, sights, tastes, and experiences. We would LOVE to have you be part of the next tour! You can even set up a personalized tour for yourself and your besties.
